What is the Circle of Excellence?
The Circle of Excellence has been established by a Members’ Committee of the Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS® and is sponsored by the Greater Lansing Association of REALTORS®. The designation recognizes successful REALTORS® who have demonstrated in their practice a commitment to education, community service, and exceptional real estate production.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Any REALTOR® Member of the GLAR who is a licensed Broker or Salesperson under the Department of Commerce & Industry Services, for the qualifying year, and who participates in the Multiple Listing Service is eligible for Membership. To earn the designation, REALTORS® must prove their merit through production, volunteer service, and formal real estate education.
Production: by achieving a high level of production in sales volume while maintaining standards of the profession.
Education: by continually enhancing their formal real estate education with approved classes, seminars, courses, and workshops, as well as attendance at local, state, and national real estate meetings, conferences, and conventions.
Service: by donating a specific measured amount of time and energy to the good of the community.
Individuals must submit an application for Membership in the Circle to a committee in early January. Qualified applicants are then recognized during an Annual Awards Function of the Circle in March. Any Member achieving ten years consecutive or nonconsecutive membership in the Circle will be inducted as a Member Emeritus in the Circle’s “Honor Society.” The Honor Society member will have voting power regardless of qualifying in the current year of the Circle.
Circle of Excellence Logo
The Circle of Excellence Logo may only be used during the year that Membership within the Circle of Excellence is awarded.
